DJ Devin Lucien Tuesday's at Guys & Dolls
If Hip Hop and Techno had a love child, his name would be Devin Lucien. At Guys and Dolls Tuesday night, I was in music heaven. He played the oldies, and newbies, and the best of the techno world. His range is impressive, this is a place where hip hop heads and fist pumpers can all get along and have a good time. I heard everything from 50 Cent, Jay Z, Rihanna, Snoop Dog, and Lil Wayne, to House and Techno. The venue is classy, and out of Hollywood ,on Beverly Blvd, so you don't get much riff raff!! I dare you to go out Tuesday at Guys and Dolls and not dance! For more on him, follow him on twitter.com/DevinLucien
Dominic Carter Friday at Ecco
Whats to love about Dominic Carter? The real question is: What is there not to love about Dominic Carter?! He's Los Angeles born , but grew up in the small town of San Dimas. Over the last 7 years has been living in between LA and NYC working as a model and has 2 feature films coming out shortly. On top of that, dancing professionally for the last 5 years. You can catch him in countless music videos, commercials, and television shows. When not DJ'n he can be seen literally doing every form of entertainment out there this kid does everything.. Walk's the runway, dance's, and act's on the silver screen. At Ecco, this friday on Cahuenga Blvd, in Hollywood, He was beating up the dance floor with bomb beats and mixing in just enough verses to keep you guessing what he would pull out of his hat next. He made good use of the fader and I was very impressed by his ability to crab. Everything about his style screams perfectionist , if you love dancing and want to feel the beat from the bottom of your heart and out of your soul, I guarantee he will become your favorite DJ. When asked to describe his style he answered,"My style is versatile and I have an ability to adapt to any situation or crowd thrown at me. I go everywhere in terms of music. NO LIMITS. As a dancer I think it gives me an edge on most because I'm naturally a musical tastemaker." Mondays at Industry with DJ Politik
Industry is located in the heart of Los Angeles, on Lacienega Blvd. Formally known as Club Area. Its sheek on the inside with huge square tables, with personal stripper poles. The dance floor is humongous and if your hungry the Burger Bar is a quick fix. Don't let that fool you, the place is extravagant and very well styled with a dark, clean feel. DJ Politik has a very unique style, his taste is impeccable he started out with a little Prince, Estelle, Daniel Herri Weather, Magelenah, Dee-Lite, then got the place going with some HOV mixing in a little Beyonce Uh oh. THen brought it back to Michael Jackson. Everything about his style is up beat and classy. This is a great new hollywood hot spot and I cant wait to hear what else he has up his sleeve in the future. For more on DJ Politk check out his webpage and download his mix tape http://www.djpolitik.com/

DJ Pesce Dime (Monday March 29,2010)
The Dime is a LA local's dream. This Monday I was pleasantly surprised when I saw DJ Pesce, having always heard good things about her. She is a Ohio native and now an LA music guru. Trained by Dj Spinderella she proves that chick DJ's can be better than the men and bring in a great crowd. This chill spot was nothing but good vibes, the music was enough to simultaneously keep you moving and your conversation going. She touched a little Erykah Badu mixed in with Snoop " Xplosive", moved on to Lauryn Hill "that thing" and Hats n boys by modeling school and Outkast " So fresh, So Clean." You can tell she has been at this for awhile by her cool demeanor behind the tables. Seeming to be 2nd nature to her. For more on this bad ass check out her website www.djpesce.com
DJ Vice Tao,(Saturday March 28th)
DJ Vice is a LA legend, I was so excited when I heard he would be DJ'n the Jay Z after party at Tao. When we got there he was playing a lot of techno and reggaeton he had the crowd going to crazy, the place was packed. I could barely move around so I stood above the table and watched as people danced there hearts out on the dance floor. The crowd went crazy as Jay-Z and Beyonce walked into the club. He annouced their arrival the camera came out and the place went into a star stunned frenzy. Beyonce was picture perfect as always in a gold dress and fabulous white and black heels.. He played Roc Boys, I wanna rock right now snoop and jay z, and HOV. Even being in the VIP it was too hard to get around so i left early. THis is a video of the night. Kinda sloppy it was madness.
DJ Hollywood Friday Night Lavo, (March 26,2010)
As I walked into Lavo Nightclub, I started dancing right away to "Stacy's MOm" I jumped up on the table next to the DJ Booth and knew it was love at first sight when DJ Hollywood started to play " Roxanne", then melted my heart with Pink's "not here for ur entertainment" He did everything from house to mass up, to rock n roll, and hip hop. He even took me back to my childhood with a little "row row row your boat" which transitioned into " Im on a boat." The crowd was filled with beautiful people, celebrities were every where I turned. He blew me away with his quick mixes and took me on a musical journey through party land. At the end of the night he proved to be just as awesome as his music and wished me luck with my blog while handing me his mix tape New Moon which you can download here http://bit.ly/cWtZnm
Dj C-L.A LAVO Lounge (Friday March 26, 2010)
DJ C-L.A got the night started right for my girls and I this friday in Vegas. The vibe was chill with a sex appeal, screaming bitch power. She was everything a chick DJ should be, sexy, talented, and kept the crowd grooving. If you like good food and classic pop and house music this is where you need to be. I listened for about an hour before realizing the DJ was a girl...Her transitions were smooth, snares matching up perfectly every time, and even scratched over a few beats..She caught my attention with "None of these bitches hotter than me" and kept me feeling good leaving me with " I need a miracle" as I walked up upstairs to listen to what DJ Hollywood had in store for me.
